Meet Dan Harriman, RFC®
Dan graduated from The Ohio State University in 1981 with a degree in Chemical Engineering. He began his working life in petroleum engineering with Amoco Production Company in the oil fields of Louisiana. In 1984, a friend introduced him to the world of investing and he has been entrenched ever since, making it his full time occupation in 1993.
Dan is a detail-oriented adviser focused on helping his clients achieve their financial goals and on creating sustainable retirement income. He holds a Registered Financial Consultant® designation, Series 6, 7, 24, 26, 63 and 65 Securities licenses as well as a Texas Group 1 Insurance license.
In 2004, Dan designed and helped develop a web-based planning software program called the MoneyEdge for himself and other financial advisers to perform reviews for their clients. In 2008, he was selected by the Dave Ramsey program to work with clients who have asked for financial advice through the SmartVester Pro program.
In 2014, Dan established Independent Financial Professionals (IFP) and moved his business to Cambridge Investment Research, Inc., after a 15 year career with Capital Choice Financial Services as an Executive National Marketing Director. From his office in Cedar Park, TX, Dan currently advises on over $135 million dollars for his personal clients and also serves as a mentor and supervisor to securities representatives around the country. As of the April, 2021, the total group has over $1.1 billion of assets under advisement and does business in 49 states.
Dan and his wife, Linda, live in Round Rock, TX and have three sons, Blaine, Dillon and Jason.
